Christopher Giesen speaking at Dunn Energy's Solar Field Dedication
Christopher Giesen, Manager of Community and Economic Development, addresses attendees at the solar dedication, highlighting the importance of renewable energy and collaboration in driving regional growth.

On October 27, 2025, Dunn Energy Cooperative (Menomonie, Wis.) proudly celebrated the dedication of its fourth small-scale solar installation, marking another milestone in the region's renewable energy journey. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held at 2 p.m., highlighted the Cooperative's commitment to sustainable innovation and energy independence. The new 2.5 MW solar array, owned and operated by One Energy, spans over 15 acres and is capable of powering 625 average Wisconsin homes, making it a significant addition to Dunn Energy's expanding renewable portfolio. This installation joins the Cooperative's community solar garden near Downsville and other self-serve solar projects, reinforcing Dunn Energy's leadership in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Dairyland Power Cooperative was represented at the event by Manager of Economic Development Chris Giesen and Key Accounts Manager Jenny Radcliffe. Jenny worked closely with Dunn Energy to support the project, helping utilize member policies for energy self-supply.

The event underscored the importance of collaboration and innovation in shaping a sustainable future for Wisconsin's communities. Dunn Energy Cooperative's continued investment in solar energy not only supports environmental stewardship but also strengthens the region's economic outlook by promoting energy resilience and creating opportunities for growth. Dairyland Power Cooperative is proud to support initiatives like these that align with our mission to provide reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy for our member cooperatives. We commend Dunn Energy and One Energy for their vision and dedication, and we look forward to seeing how projects like this continue to transform the energy landscape in our area. Together, we are lighting the way toward a brighter, cleaner future.
