The Dairyland Power Cooperative Economic Development team welcomed Ian Cochran as a new Economic Development Manager nine months ago! Ian came to Dairyland Power with nearly a decade of experience working for both private and public sector organizations. He began his career working in various Business Development and Account Management roles where he was responsible for driving revenue growth for small, medium, and large businesses. Ian has also served in Community & Economic Development roles for the Cities of Jordan (MN), Prior Lake (MN), and most recently in Rochester (MN) where he supported executing the Destination Medical Center (DMC) initiative.

Ian holds a Masters in Urban Planning from Minnesota State University – Mankato and is a Certified Planner (AICP) through the American Planning Association. When he’s not busy fostering economic growth Ian enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. He also enjoys getting outdoors to explore and experience all the Driftless Region has to offer.
